Lora Wilson Goodenough is an Oregon Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and trained Clinical Supervisor. Lora earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2001 from George Fox University Graduate School of Counseling. In 2002 she started a private practice Square One, LLC, in downtown Salem. She has experience working with teens, adults, couples and families in areas ranging from personal concerns to complex relational conflicts. Additionally, she has an extensive background working with highly conflicted families and specializes in mediating conflict between parents and teens as well as implementing supportive parenting strategies.
Lora’s style is warm and interpersonal. She is gently challenging and offers straightforward feedback. She is deeply committed to her client’s well-being and helping them to overcome their problems to get more satisfaction in life and relationships. Lora considers it a true privilege to partner with her clients on their journey.
Over the years, Lora has become a trusted referral source for many pastors, teachers, doctors and professionals in Salem and the surrounding area. In addition to counseling, Lora is a Professor of Counseling Ethics at Corban University in the Graduate Program for Clinical Mental Health. She is a frequent speaker and seminar leader for various churches and organizations. Lora is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
